Reads: Jane Eyre

I wasn’t supposed to, but I first fell for Bronté’s Jane Eyre when I was fourteen. Re-read it thrice since then. At nineteen and yesterday. Sometime in 2009, I saw the 1996 film. Today, I saw the 2011 film. I’m still swept!

Rochester: The world may laugh—may call me absurd, selfish—but it does not signify. My very soul demands you.

Jane: I am strangely glad to get back again to you: and wherever you are is my home—my only home.
